1. INTRODUCTION: Creating Slide Shows for Video

There are many guidelines to follow when creating presentation slide shows (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint) for EWP classes. Keep in mind that slides that look good on a computer screen may be unreadable on a video monitor. Below are two lists: general principles and specific guidelines. Please adhere to these guidelines, and try to test your slides on a television screen (this can be done in the media development lab or in one of the broadcast capable classrooms). Distance students who wish to create presentations for class should contact their course producer for testing.

NOTE: When creating computer presentation slides, always make a hard copy backup.
